Rite Aid Free/Money Maker Candy- Tried and True!

When I read about this deal this morning I really thought it was a fluke or fake.  So I sent my husband to Rite Aid before I posted.  Sure Enough- It works.  He's going to be sent back tomorrow.  He reports that stock is ample in the Rt 3 location.

There are several possibilities and I will share all of them.

This deal is not in the flyer or marked on the shelves but it is working coast to coast and the blog sphere is buzzing about it today.

  • Use two $4.00/6 Trident, Dentyne or Stride, Swedish Fish, Sour Patch or Halls from SS 8/8 (I have almost thrown these out a few times thinking that they could never give me a good enough deal to justify the transaction. Divine intervention made me keep them!)
  • Pay: $17.00, Receive SIX +Up Rewards AND TWELVE $2+Up Rewards (Yes- $18 in +Up Rewards)
  • Final Price: $13.00 Money-Maker!
Details To Consider:
The candy on sale is in the regular candy/grocery isle.  The Halloween candy and Christmas candy is NOT included.  These are the full size bulk bags but this would make great candy for a candy buffet.  Since it is FREE I think I am going to get 5 more and just give all of my regular Trick-Or-Theaters a real sugar jolt.  I also think the Swedish fish have a real Christmas Gift Potential.  Think "Night At The Movies" Gift Basket.  I am even thinking I could use my +UP rewards to buy Movie Theater Gift Cards for these baskets.  The transaction is rolling and you can get an unlimited number of the $2 "mystery/just for the heck of it" rewards.

***Since this is an unpublished & unadvertised deal it may end at any time, but I will report back if I hear that it stops*** Have fun tonight at Rite Aid!!!

Expressionery- a product promo and review.

A few months ago I was thrilled to be accepted as a member of the Expressionery Community Panel.  I am in love with their stationery and rubber stamps.  Their products are truly beautiful and they make me want to keep the art of paper correspondence alive.  If you have not looked at their product line, I recommend pouring a hot beverage curling up on the couch, and devoting a chunk of "Me" to browse through all of their offerings.  CLICK HERE to visit them online.

Today, 10/8/10 they are launching a new product line of  premier personalized melamine plates.  Last week they started giving previews to the collection and this picture had me on the edge f my seat, waiting for additional details:

A few days later I was thrilled when this beauty arrived at my door:

I can think of a million uses for these beauties.  I think they would make an excellent vessel for baked goods.  A beautiful keepsake long after the sweet treats it carries are gone.  The plates are dishwasher safe and are VERY sturdy.  Think about these next time you are looking for a :

* “Special” plate — a special plate for special days

* Keepsake plate — commemorate a birthday or anniversary

* Ruff and tuff dinnerware — on the patio, tailgating, at the cabin, maybe a special set for a girl who loves to play tea party (the old school kind!)

* Party favors — one for each guest and place setting (see example above)

Check out the complete line of these products HERE.  I am thrilled with the sample they sent me and can see myself picking up a few for holiday gifts! I did not receive additional compensation and I was not required to blog about this product. As always my opinions are mine.

Oh- Laughter is Killing Me- Literally tonight.

The folks at Mom magazine sent me another wonderful blogger bag of goodies.  Now picture this- I am recovering from this lovely little hysterectomy.  My husband thought I would love a good box of blogger fun to cheer me up.  It worked but imagine the confused look on the nursing staff's face then they walk in to see me looking at hats, and booties and gadgets and gizmo's.  I will share a bunch of them as blog give aways and will pass a bunch to Mindy- my wonderful dietary friend who scored me the Cheese Pizza.  I will organize some fun to give away this week.  Highlights? Hmm Where to start??
  • Organic Roasted Banana's and Mango Stage 2 Baby Food
  • Belly B Toes To Tummy Lotion
  • HE laundry Drops
Does anyone have interest in Flip Over cloth diapering products? Those days are over here and if I could stop laughing long enough to let the pain subside I might take a picture of the hilarity that must meet visitors to my room.  I'm kind of expecting a crew from MHU to come pay me a visit.  Rest assured- the free fun will find good homes, but not at my house.
